An unmanned Federation probe once catalogued a world with two anomalies at once: floating landmasses and a severe EM storm. Settlers went anyway, with no way back and failing machines – relying on steam and manual labor. They built kingdoms in the clouds, rode zeppelins and giant eagles. For generations, the sky held.
Now the Federation has come again to study the mineral that keeps the islands aloft, even if it means breaking them apart. And it has tipped the fragile balance of this world.
